Cancellation Policy & Fee Refunds


Cancellation Policy

Students may cancel within five (5) business days of initial payment, provided studies have not commenced. An administration fee applies: $220 (Certificate IV) , $110 (Certificate of Registration) or $55 (CPD). 

Once course materials have been released and enrolment is complete, students are in a binding agreement with RETS. No refunds apply after course commencement except in cases of provider default or approved extenuating circumstances.

Students who choose to pay by instalments are required to continue meeting their instalment obligations. Discontinuing studies does not cancel this liability. All course fees remain payable in full once enrolment has commenced unless a refund is approved in accordance with RETS’ Fee Refunds Policy.

Cancellations and refunds may only be considered in extenuating circumstances:s

  • serious illness 
  • crisis 
  • hardship

With supporting evidence, assessed case-by-case and most refunds will be consumption based. We will calculate the fees payable/fees refundable based on a combination of the length of time a student has been enrolled, as well as the number of modules released.

Refunds are not available where withdrawal is due to:

  • changing mind
  • change in work or personal circumstances
  • job loss
  • moving house
  • or breach of the Student Code of Conduct

 RETS will acknowledge within 3 business days. Approved refunds will be processed within 28 days.
