NSW: CPD requirements for all Class 1 & 2 Licence holders and current Assistant Agent – Certificate of Registration holders
NSW- CPD for Class 1, Class 2 & Assistant Agents + Marking + Licence check
Dear Students
We trust you had a relaxing break over the Christmas/New Year period and are excited for the year ahead.
We would again like to remind you of the CPD requirements for all Class 1 & 2 Licence holders and current Assistant Agent – Certificate of Registration holders.
CPD requirements are compulsory and a record must be maintained in your office by 22nd March 2024. Assistant Agent holders are required to complete CPD by completing 3-Units of competency from a valid Certificate IV qualification by the same deadline.
This means that all assessments (including re-submissions) must be submitted by 22nd February 2024 to enable the assessors the time to complete all marking and Certificates issued ready for submission to NSW Fair Trading.
RETS aims to mark all assessment submissions within 10-business days from the time they are submitted. Please note that these marking times are a guide only. RETS may take longer to mark your assessments from time to time, depending on the volume of assessment submissions. This is particularly relevant to the 22nd March 2024 deadline.
If you are unsure as to whether you are required to complete CPD or what your CPD requirements are, please refer to the following link:

Finally, Assistant Agents whose Registrations are due to expire on 22nd March 2024 need to have completed all 18 units of their Certificate IV in their specified category, ie: real estate, strata etc. Please note, that the expiry date of your Certificate of Registration/Assistant Agent may be before the completion date of your Certificate IV course or traineeship.
